Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

YT Alchemy is operated by YT Agency LLC, a limited liability company registered in the United States ("YT Alchemy", "we", "us", or "our"). We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy (in legal terms, we are its "controller").

This policy applies to the YT Alchemy app and our websites, including ytalchemy.com (together, the "Service").

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account information: your name, email address, and password. Passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider, never in plain text.
• Workspace content: everything you add to YT Alchemy, such as video titles and descriptions, scripts, ideas, thumbnails and other images, deadlines, stages, tasks, notes, channel names, and links (for example, Loom links).
• Team information: the names, email addresses, and roles of people you invite to work with you.
• Messages to us: support requests, bug reports, feature suggestions, and anything else you send us.

Information collected automatically

• Device and log information: device model, operating system and app version, language, IP address, and records of requests and errors with their date and time. We use this to keep the Service secure and working.
• Push notification token: if you allow notifications, Apple gives us a device token so we can send them to you.
• Cookies and local storage: our websites use only strictly necessary cookies and local storage, for example to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.

Information from other people

If a teammate invites you to a workspace, they give us your email address and may add your name and role.

YT Alchemy doesn't connect to your YouTube or Google account, and we don't collect your precise location, your contacts, or payment card details.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information only for the purposes below. If you're in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the table also shows the legal basis we rely on.

We don't use your information for advertising, we don't use your workspace content to train artificial intelligence models, and we don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. How we share your information

We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only in these cases:

• Service providers. We use a cloud infrastructure provider for hosting, database, authentication, and file storage, and Apple Push Notification service to deliver notifications. They process information only on our instructions and under contracts that require them to protect it.
• Your workspace. Content you add to a shared workspace is visible to its other members. The workspace owner can see, edit, export, and delete the content in it.
• Legal reasons. When we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or YT Agency LLC.
• Business transfers. If we're involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that deal. We'll tell you before it becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
• With your permission. In any other case, only if you ask us to or agree to it.

5. International transfers

YT Agency LLC is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States, the European Union, or other countries. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws where you live.

When we transfer personal information out of the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland to a country without an adequacy decision, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where a provider is certified under it. You can ask us for more information about these safeguards.

6. How long we keep information

• Account information and workspace content: for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete this information within 30 days. Copies in backups are overwritten within a further 90 days.
• Device and log information: up to 90 days, unless we need it longer to investigate a security issue.
• Messages to us: up to 24 months after we've resolved your request, so we can help if the issue comes back.
• Legal requirements: we keep some information longer when the law requires it or to resolve disputes.

7. Your choices and rights

In the app

• Update your information in the app, or ask us to do it for you.
• Turn off notifications at any time in Settings > Notifications > YT Alchemy on your iPhone or iPad.
• Delete your account in the app under Settings > Account > Delete Account, or by emailing us. See how account deletion works.

If you're in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland

You have the right to access your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what we did before. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, such as the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos in Spain. You can find yours in the list of European data protection authorities.

If you're in the United States

Depending on the state you live in, you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, to access, correct, or delete it, to get a copy of it, and to opt out of its sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. We don't sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising, and we won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.

How to make a request

Email support@ytalchemy.com with the subject "Privacy request" from the email address on your account. We'll reply within one month. We may need to confirm your identity first. Where the law allows, an authorized agent can make a request on your behalf.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and secure authentication through our infrastructure provider. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. Keep your password private, and contact us right away if you think someone has accessed your account.

9. Children

YT Alchemy isn't directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
